Today I might have spent a few five hours on pinterest and saw this little gem:
While I found a few of the items comically, I probably only related to two or three of the items on the list.
Perhaps I am not really a grown up?!?
But last night at a 4th of July get together at a friends house I did find myself saying "when did this happen" a few times, mostly to myself and then quietly leaving the conversation.
When Did This Happen Moments
Note to self when preparing to actually consume alcoholic beverages eating food other than chips and dip is a NEW requirement. When did this happen?
Holy hangover batman, me today!
At the get together a conversation happened about 'letting' husbands do certain things. When did this happen?
While playing pool a few of the guys were discussing property taxes and the sale prices of houses in their neighborhood. When did this happen?
Mr. B and I telepathically communicated and slide out of the room.
There were kids running around, sidewalk chalk and kiddie pools available. The later two were not meant for adults either. When did this happen?
Curse words were followed with 'oh shit, sorry' towards kids parents. When did this happen?
The get together started at 3:00 and people were leaving by 7-8. When did this happen?
One couple asked another couple when they were going to have a baby. When did this happen?
I rushed to refill my drink before this could happen to me.
Don't get me wrong we still:
had a great time;
introduced a couple to fireball;
shot off fireworks;
drank way too much;
and had a wonderful time hanging with our friends.
But I think this is a sign of the times...growing up is hard!
People are getting married and having babies and all I can do is look around and say 'when did this happen.'
I definitely wish I had taken more/better pictures but here is what you get:
- The Babbling Box!
Yeah, it happens. I'm closer to 40 now than 30 and I guess it's time to start growing up, LOL. Well, maybe tomorrow. I'm still enjoying vacay!

LOL Yes, I am pretty much the only unmarried, non-baby friend in my group. It can definitely be a bummer! NOT because I want to be married with babies, but because my non-baby friends are dwindling which means fewer people to hang out with that don't require scheduling months in advance! lol
