Currently December

Another month, another Currently with Farley.

Listening:  I started this show and have been pleasantly surprised about how funny each episode can be at times. And then they started talking about cancer...

Loving:  Our little Christmas tree makes me smile each time I walk by. Maybe I will get sick of it at some point but nothing excites me more than cuddling up on the couch, a little reading and twinkly lights.

Thinking:  How quickly this semester flew by, 13 school days left until break. That sentence couldn't excite me more but knowing how much needs to be done is super stressful. I might be finishing up lesson planning for this year but I already need to get syllabus and lessons done for the new semester. Where did the time go?

Wanting:  More time! See above. Also I can't even begin to figure out how or when I will get everything done before the holidays. And with a Christmas party, the mister's birthday, two different friends in town and the New Year's a girl needs a few outfits. Only that requires time to shop...

Needing:  Robot competitors. We compete December 14th and I asked any students interested in participating to stay after school today, 2 showed up. We have been basically doing the competition in class for the last five weeks so I am only mildly concerned about being prepared but I am extremely concerned about having a bus coming, waking up at the crack of dawn on a Saturday and only two students present. I am considering bribing the students...

Holiday Tradition:  I currently have no holiday traditions. This is going to sound sad but really I say it as a fact, when my parents split up all of our family traditions went out the window. It really hasn't been until recently that I have been trying to create more traditions, I am thinking Christmas lights, Christmas movies and sausage balls...some of my favorite parts of my childhood.

What holiday traditions are the most important to you?
